Kurd or Amara Celtic in D minor

Kurd is the most played handpan scale in the world: warm, meditative, approachable straight away. Amara Celtic sounds more open and weightless and invites you to improvise. Both sit in D minor, and neither contains a wrong note. All Kurd models are in our Kurd Handpans collection.

9, 10 or 12 notes

9 notes are the usual starting point and are enough for complete melodies. 10 notes give more freedom of movement. 12 notes are worth it once you already know you are staying with it and would rather not upgrade in a year.

Four coatings that protect the steel from corrosion and do not flake away. In sound there is no difference between the colours.

56 cm: why the size is audible

A larger shell means more air under the tone fields. The fundamental gains foundation and the decay stands for longer. That is why the low fields on this model sound fuller than on a compact instrument.
