Why 17 notes is more than a number

A double-sided instrument sets the tuner a problem: every correction on one side changes the tension on the other. Both sides have to be retuned in turn until everything agrees. That is the work behind the price.

Slightly heavier than a single-sided handpan

Both shells carry tone fields, so this model weighs around one to two kilos more than an ordinary handpan. Played on your lap you barely notice; for carrying it, the padded bag is included.
